What is Inspira?

Inspira is a 2D adventure open world game where you take control of a small creature named King, who is the representation of the inspiration inside the mind of an artist.

This artist is a well known one, making a lot of art and being happy, but suddenly he's met with stress, anxiety and depression as he starts having a lot of problems in his daily life. This makes them lose inspiration as his mind is too busy thinking about a lot of negative things.

Inside this artists mind, these thoughts take a form of monsters who suck color out of the colorful world inside the artists mind.

When king notices what's happening in his world, he decides to go on an adventure to bring back color to his world and defeat these bad thoughts.

What makes this game different?

The game is animated by hand, meaning no rigs or automatic animations made, the games story won't be told through dialogue, only showing what happens with sounds and animations.

Gameplay wise, the game is inspired (no pun intended) by metroidvania games such as the Ori series and Hollow Knight, but with it's own twist. The world changes as you progress meaning for example on places where there's bad thoughts the color will be drained, everything but King being shown in grayscale, while areas with no bad thoughts will be blooming with colors.

Soundtrack wise, the music will be orchestral as usual, the more color the more lively the music will be like. Taking inspiration from music from the composing legend Grant Kirkhope.

What's the ZIP. file?

The ZIP file contains the first prototype for the game. It's way too unfinished but still thought it would be a good idea to release as a small tech demo.
